It's poorly worded, but the terms of the offer make it a lot clearer.

6 x points for gift cards up to $299.99.
9 x points for gift cards up between $300 and $500.

So for example, you'd get 600 points for a $100 card and 3600 points for a $400 card.

In every situation, though, it's less than the 5% discount you could have had.

Last month I had $105 for 4 weeks for 10,000 points. I just finished it and got the points. But we don't normally go over $100 a week on groceries.
