Hi All - I registered 4 years ago when I was a travel agent but never got around to posting at all or reading much. My partner and I traveled a fair amount but a lot of cheap flights. Now we are traveling as a family and need to squeeze out every extra benefit we can and using points may be the way to go!

Thanks in advance!

Yes welcome deano, your in the right place. Points can be a great way to go, keep in mind using for long haul in Y not so good, buying point (miles) from AA or AS and the like can be a ripper deal at times. Some excellent info on points/miles here.

Welcome aboard deanotravel.

Thank you all. I've got plenty of reading to do. I lived in the US for a while and had AA points out the wazoo. That was quite a while ago now. Things have changed ;-)
