Hi - newish here!

I'm looking to book a flight in from BNE to ATH for next year. I thought loicking my dates in early might get me the best deal.

Flights on and around 5 May are available for 121000 points, which seems on tack, however the (tax?) component is $650. I'm sure I've seen a similar amount of points with taxes of under $100... If I was to book the ticket and pay either Etihad, their website has taxes at AU$98.

Am I missing something, or this this excessive?
