10 SCs short!

Well I am 200 SC short of Platinum with my 'year' to end March 31.

Suddenly a trip has come up to LA in Business class which will earn me 190 SC (Melb to Sydney in Business and Sydney to LA in Business).
This trip is on March 31 itself!

That leaves me 10 SC short and I simply don't have the time to make a status credit run (simply too busy).

You think Qantas will give me 10 bonus credits?

Clearly I am Gold right now and will be till March 2006.

luckydog, If I were you, I would re route MEL-SYD to MEL-CBR-SYD, ASAP.

There should be no problem with this, tell the booking agent you need the extra sector for Plat; They should understand.

So it looks like this was offered to people with renewals in Jan/ Feb 2005.

Has this been repeated at all since??? Anyone know the likelihood for later expiries - particularly as the May-25 points change approaches

I'm a 31-Jul expiry, just requaled for Silv and have QP, but the extra 400SCs for Gold is not going to be doable... However if I can do it for half points, think I could manage bringing a well-earned holiday forward.

mattvdp, it was a double status credits targeted promotion to selected members to assist them to retain Silver or Gold status. You should have received an email from QF. Unfortunately, my wife deleted hers before I had read it.

Applies to doubling the SC's earned on all QF operated services between 15 Nov 2004 and 15 Feb 2005. Mrs LW was lucky in that she had 3 return flights (1 was K class) in November, so she re-qualified Silver with the bonuses SC's. She has another 60 SC's (120 after the bonus) before the time period ends.
