Exit row on QF reward on AA

Hi Is it possible to book an exit row on a AA flight booked with QF points, I know this will cost just wanted to know if it can be added to a classic award.

Yes. Once you get the AA PNR (enter your eTicket# in the AA app) and select seats.

I am trying to find out what the extra charges are for exit row or main cabin extra. I tried a dummy booking which seems to work with most airlines but there was no option to select/pay for seats before paying for the fare. Any ideas how to find out additional cost ie main cabin extra Syd to LAX. Thanks

It's a crazy mess depending on where, all prices USD. Orange seats are proper MCE (extra legroom seats) whilst the green are just preferred (no extra legroom).

USD website shows seats during booking process.

Strange, but I just made a QF CR booking involving AA domestic, including LAX-HNL.

I was able to select all seats, including MCE, for free. Maybe QF has finally been included in the inner circle of airlines that get if for free (for OWE). Or maybe it was a glitch (seat selection has stuck). Either way I’ll take it.

My guess is glitch, I just tried a dummy booking and with no frequent flyer number only standard seats. Adding my QF WP I get preferred but still have to pay for MCE.

Yes, I posted this in another thread (which I now can't find) a couple of weeks ago.

I had an existing QF CR redemption that would only let me select standard seats after booking. Something like US$80 each for MCE on an SFO-JFK flight.

Just by chance, I was looking at the booking and all of MCE was wide open, so selected front row and they've stuck!

Some others here went looking and were also able to select MCE (and I vaguely recall a SG included).
