Some people are just so selfish and rude. :(
Probably exactly what the guy in front was thinking while he was trying to get some sleep after spending 44 hours flying from A to Z via most of the alphabet.

Have you actually just tried asking them politely if they would mind to unrecline whilst you are eating?

Can work a real treat. Asking an FA , you are more likely to get a negative response since they cannot force someone to unrecline just to make you happy

Yes I have asked them very politely. Some, and I stress some, are just so rude.

And no NM they were not sleeping after flying for 44 hours.

As mentioned earlier cattle class is cattle class. Reclining the seat back 6 inches does nothing extra for comfort, for me at least, yet irritates the person behind. Maybe I just attract these people. When I have sat in bulkhead seats not once have I reclined the seat back. I think that is just common courtesy. But again maybe that is just me.
