I've been looking at Expert Flyer trying to plan an SQ RTW award. I can't find any business availability anywhere.

I've checked SQ's site which shows availability but Expert Flyer shows 0 seats for the same days. I've tried multiple routes like ORD - LAX or SFO months in the future just to see if I can see anything.

For example, 16Jan2023 SQ shows saver (I) availability BNE to LHR on a couple of flights, but expert flyer shows nothing.

I have a paid pro subscription and I am searching in the Awards & Upgrades section. Am I missing something?

As noted at the top of the results page, we SQ award inventory we show is partner level, not KrisFlyer level. For further help please email us.

By partner level, is this referring to Star Alliance partners or Velocity? As Velocity seems to get access to more seats than Star Alliance airlines.

(I assume it's *A.)

Unless I am missing something, it doesn’t seem that an Expert Flyer subscription is worth the money for an SQ redemption RTW or otherwise. Do you have any advice or should I ask for a refund?

If you are looking for availability on * partners of SQ then it should be helpful (although not perfect), but it won't help look for availability on SQ itself.

thanks ExpertFlyer Voice.

It depends on if you are redeeming SQ miles or *A partner miles. Also EF has many other features besides award searching. That aside if you need help with your account just email us directly, thanks.

I have a similar but different question to the original poster: I am trying to determine what fare bucket Virgin Australia uses when booking a Velocity redemption on SQ metal.
Correct me if I'm wrong but as i understand in J:
SQ awards are fare bucket I
VA awards are in fare bucket Z

In Expertflyer on the Award and upgrade availability search when i do a sample search from SIN-MEL on 1st October 2023 it shows no availability regardless of if i choose SQ or VA as the airline.

Then when i go into the Krisflyer app it also shows no availability at Business Saver level (I), but availability at Business Advantage (D) level.
Then when i check the Velocity website it shows availability in Business class.

What am i missing here? Where is the Velocity availability coming from?

Thanks!

Intereresting. I always assumed the VA availability would come from SQ saver level…..
