Expert Flyer Not Showing Availability from Qantas

Hi,

I have just re-signed up to Expert Flyer after a few years and tried a test to see if it worked. On October 9th 2023 from LAX-SYD on QF12 Qantas Award search is showing me an Economy Award seat available.

So I tested this with Expert flyer and it can't see it. Any ideas as it doesn't instill much confidence in setting up alerts.

Me too and I tried it. Same results as you. Kind of defeats the purpose of the subscription.

Agreed. Hopefully it’s just an Expert Flyer glitch or are they no longer supporting Qantas?

There is a glitch where QF U bucket does not show if POS is set to Australia.

I was looking at another flight yesterday so QF still sorted I think

I've just signed up to Expert Flyer and have been playing with it. I've been looking at flights from LAX to Australia and I can see PE reward seats on the Qantas website, but on Expert Flyer it is showing 0 availability for Z class.

Am I doing somethinig wrong?

Your POS may be set to AU. Switch to to US and see if that help.

That's odd then. Might just be a glitch.

I've certainly had it the other way with EF showing I class, but no business sale fares online and agents unable to see I class either.

I also had an alert setup through Expertflyer for a friend in December on Qantas and they found and booked it this morning on Qantas with no alert coming to me for the flight from Expertflyer. Hence searching and finding this thread.

You are looking at award availability? It was not clear from your post yesterday.

If so, then as a WP you would likely be seeing the same award availability that is available to status members that I can see. This statused availability does not show on expert flyer.

Yes award availability. When not logged into Qantas this award availability is available however not available on ExpertFlyer.

ExpertFlyer has been broken for a while for some Qantas awards.

From what I can see EF is subject to the same limitations as other airline-information-access systems for Qantas - they appear to withhold reward information and only show it via their official channels.

As far as I can tell, ExpertFlyer cannot see the Qantas-only award seats.

Qantas seem to release some seats to all oneworld partners, which EF can see, and some only to Qantas points holders, which EF cannot see.
