ExpertFlyer improvements.

Dear ExpertFlyer Subscriber:

As part of our policy to continually improve the ExpertFlyer experience, we are proud to announce several new additions to ExpertFlyer. These additions expand and improve upon the service offering to enhance the value of your subscription.

Specifically, the following improvements and additions have been made:

* Flight Availability - Now you can specify that no interline connections are to be displayed on the results screen when requesting a search based on a specific Airline code. Selecting this option will eliminate connections involving two different airlines.

* Flight Availability - For our Premium subscribers, you can now specify up to five (5) Class codes when a specific Airline code is entered. This can be used to specify both hidden (award/upgrade) classes as well as non-hidden fare-based classes.

* Flight Availability - New actions can now be taken directly from the results screen. Flight Details will pop up when requested, a Flight Alert request (for Premium subscribers only) can be created on a pop up entry screen, and a request for a Seat Map can also be requested on a pop up for easy entry of the cabin class.

* Travel Information - A new section called Travel Information has been added. Here you will find information on specific flight ratings for on-time percentages and average time a flight is late, average TSA checkpoint wait times at US airports, and real time information on airport delays.

* More User Preferences - We have added a new option to the time format, 12 or 24 hours, and give you the option of specifying a default airport and airline for your Flight Availability and Fare (Premium subscribers only) searches. Go to My Account and click on the Preferences tab.

* Fare Information Results - For our Premium subscribers, we have added information on any days of advance purchase requiements that a particular fare might have. Also, at the top of the Fare Information Results screen is an easy link to Flight Availability results based on the same criterea you used for searching the fares displayed.

* Print View - There is now a Print View link at the top of each results screen to provide a formatted screen ready for printing.

* Help - There is now a Help link at the top of each page to provide context specific help information without leaving the screen you are viewing.

* Performance Improvements - We have fine tuned the ExpertFlyer to improve upon the speed of screen display and response time in various areas of the service.

We continue to look for ways to add value to ExpertFlyer and bring you more of the services you want. We are also active in bringing back some of the information you have valued in the past which are no longer viewable on ExpertFlyer. We hope to make announcements about these services in the not too distant future.

Improved Flight Alerts and other Enhancements

Today we are excited to announce several new features and improvements to ExpertFlyer:

"Less Than" Flight Alerts

In addition to Flight Alerts that let you know when an award/upgrade/fare class is at least a certain value, now you can set an alert to notify you when inventory drops below a certain value.
By selecting the "Less Than" option when creating the alert, ExpertFlyer will alert you when the inventory starts to drop, allowing you to take advantage of inventory that is becoming low, but before it disappears.

Multiple Seasonality date ranges for fares

For Fare Information searches using the "Show Fares for All Travel Dates" option, where applicable, if a fare has multiple published seasonality dates, they will now all be shown.

Travel Information Additions - MCT, MPM & Connecting Cities
The following searches have been added to the Travel Information search page:

Minimum Connect Times - with the ability to specify incoming/outgoing airlines and the connection type.
Maximum Permitted Mileage - that shows not only MPM but has a dedicated Calculated Sector Mileage response as well.
Connecting Cities - shows all predetermined connecting cities for the specified city pair.

Booking Class Search

Along with Fare Rules and Routing Rules, the Fare Information results page now has a Booking Class look-up tool.
This will allow you to determine the required booking classes for the fare and any specific exceptions.
You can also specify a secondary airline to show booking class information for segments flown by carriers other than the fare owner.

Extended Information/Comments for all airlines in Flight Status

There is now a "View Additional Comments" link at the bottom of every Flight Status result. Clicking it will get the raw airline comments for the flight for most airlines.

Ability to easily copy and share results

As seen above, you can now click on the "Share Results" link at the top of every response page which will let you easily copy and share ExpertFlyer results in a nicely formatted way.
Results can be exported in Text, HTML, CSV, or BB Code formats and either copied to your clipboard or saved to a file.

KLM Awards and Upgrades
The following award and upgrade classes for KLM are now available on ExpertFlyer:

O - Business - Classic Award & Upgrade
J - Business - Flex Award
E - Economy - Awards for Elites
Y - Economy - Flex Award

Out of those, MCT will be VERY handy for me, as will the additional flight status available. The "booking class" feature should come in handy, as will a couple of the other additions.

Very much like the progression of enhancements. It shows the annual fee paid is actually being used for product improvement.

Its a fantastic tool. I received an email seat alert message on Sunday morning, which allowed me to jump into my QF booking and select my favourite economy seat on the 747 for my flight this week. That alone is worth the fee.

Now if only you could see award availability for CX flights, it would make life even better! Currently have to use my Asia Mile account to see their award availability. But I understand the difficulty since CX use a different res system to most other airlines.

I'll add my appreciation of ExpertFlyer. I discovered it only recently, thanks to AFF, but it has already helped me out with seat selection to make it pay for itself.
