Free Express Card Distribution

For what it's worth, there's nothing on the express cards that says they're not transferable, or can't be used for a future flight (aside from perhaps, the airline's logo on the card). If they're going to enforce it, they'd better be clear what the entitlement actually is…

I agree but it is possible they will check the number of passes surrendered against the number scanned and determine whether the variation justifies the "Express" access being electronically added to the boarding pass thus eliminating the paper passes totally. Alternatively they may charge back the access based on the scans and leave it to the airlines to check eligibility if they choose to. Has anyone been through recently (the last 10 days) and been scanned in the Express queue?

We went through MEL Mon morn - intl deps was a zoo - I have never seen it so busy - intl dep hall overflowing so much that line snaked back across to ANZ bank then did. 180 and snaked all way back across past intl dep hall entrance - we flashed express cards and let straight in - did not use for immig as have APEC - but they were a god send to us - and I still have them.
