Is it possible to make use of leftover/unused QF express path cards when flying non-QF airlines?

Yes. There is no comparison between BP and express card outbound or inbound.

Thanks Simon.

Reason I asked is because the immigration cards do ask you for the flight number you are departing/arriving on.

Yes- I used to be afraid of this as well but no one ever cares. That's the flip side of using slack third party employees everywhere- the guys collecting those cards couldn't care less which is good in this case :p

The one time where third party employees work to your advantage...!

Express path is a federal government program, not QF, so it is applicable to other airlines flights, therefore the flight number is not relevant.

Would anyone be so kind to spare me a few for syd/mel?

Very likely to be posted via iPhone or iPad :)

I find that if you have a first check in envelope visible they never ask to see the pass anyway!

I have express cards with CX and JL logos as well as QF-issued cards.

I never actually use my inbound cards, firstly Smartgate bypasses the immigration queue and I usually have something to declare so I just put the card away for the next time. Rarely wait too long so I'm happy.

At MEL on 11/11... the express path line and foreigners lines cleared twice as quickly as the smartgate lines... sometimes having the card is handy!

Also are the cards any different between the different airports? I've only seen/had them from MEL.

outbound at syd I find that the express card is great getting through the long lines at immigration, but then I usually just stash it and join the normal security screening point afterwords (as long as it isn't ridiculously long).
I've got a nice little collection built up now, I tend to give them to family and friends when they fly internationally these days

Quick Question:

QF Gold - what are my chances of obtaining an outbound express card flying economy? Are they only for Platinums? Also, what's the go with Jetstar and getting an express card?

I'd go with slim to none as a Gold.
no idea on jetstar.
I've been lucky with asking the cabin crew for any spare inward express cards, worth a try
