Express path in BNE departures?

There are no express arrivals now. All electronic passport machines then queues for photo clearance. It's sensible to use the first machines you come to rather than wait till passport control where machines are much more in use.

Not for the passport machines but for clearing customs like red (to declare) or green line (nothing to declare), then down the far left hand side there is an express lane which "most" of the time is open. Used it this morning as the other lines were horrendous!

Yes. Express cards for customs are very good in the mornings when there's several planes arriving. In the evening they don't seem to staff the express lane if there's few flights. (Was closed on last AKL - BNE flight arriving at 7 pm.)

There are still express card for arrivals - the sign is small and it is on the far left but you go through manual processing not smart gates. Definitely still useful for arriving with children who can't use smart gates. Also the lines for the smart gates have been horrendous on my last 2 arrivals from Singapore at the 6:30-7:30am time slot.
