Hi all, I got an email (evidently targeted by the looks from T&C's saying it's not transferable) offering a bonus 500 points to take an uber to or from the airport. I did, as I was going to anyway, and it is now showing as Uber Airport Trip on my statement dated 18th December. So far no sign of the 500 points though. Just wondering if anyone else has used this offer successfully? TIA and HNY

From experience with similar promos in the past it can take up to 4 weeks for points to be credited

Thanks, I'll keep waiting. It's difficult in any case to work out who to contact if they don't show up....

Did you end up getting the bonus points? I'm at 3 weeks since my trip now, but no sign of the points.

Hi Encryptededdy

No I did not get the extra points to date. I have exchanged about fifty million emails with Uber and got no sense out of them at all. Zombies.

Told to wait six weeks, pointed out 3 weeks already gone, blah blah, still told to wait six weeks.

Indian 'customer service' centre. Mind-blowing, they just keep asking you to send the proof you have already sent, multiple times.

I'll let you know if I get anything, would appreciate same?

Offer expires: 18 Mar 2025

- Earn up to 100,000 bonus Qantas Points*
- Enjoy an annual $450 Qantas travel credit

Was there a timeline in the t&c s for those points to post?

I would try emailing [email protected]?

Anyway, I just re-read the email and it says it may take up to 8 weeks to credit :\

I'm in no urgent need for 500 points so I guess I'll set myself a reminder for that timeframe.

*Uber Rides Offer: Qantas Frequent Flyer members who are linked to an Uber account will earn 500 bonus Qantas Points when they take an Uber ride to or from any of the following Australian airports: Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Maroochydore, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Townsville, Newcastle, Toowoomba, Avalon, Byron Bay, before 11:59pm (AEDT) on 12 January 2022. No minimum spend is required to be eligible for this offer. This offer is only available to the recipient of this email and cannot be forwarded or transferred to anyone else. Bonus Qantas Points will only be awarded on a member’s next transaction and any subsequent orders will be ineligible to earn Qantas Points. Please allow up to 8 weeks for the Qantas Points associated with this offer to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. The offer cannot be combined with any new rider offers.

Not to sound harsh, but personnaly, if the t&c s says 8 weeks, I wouldnt bother contacting anyone. Chances are they run a batch job from time to time, and the points will post within this 8 weeks window. Contacting earlier just create unacessary work for everyone.

Best strategy is what @encryptededdy says: set a reminder, stop thinking about it, and contact after the reminder kicks in.
