I am still waiting, but I did get my statement email yesterday. It showed my tier level as "Base".

A little excited this morning when "Etihad Guest" landed in the inbox. Alas, same as JessicaTam's.

sames :(

The excitement of reaching Gold is inevitably greater than the outcome.

Are we supposed to be getting Gold or Gold Elite status?

From my understanding...

Qantas SG gets EY Gold
Qantas WP gets EY Gold Elite

So what you get depends on your current QF status

Etihad dont status match to Gold Elite, its just Gold (I was matched last year).

How long does it take for them to send out the gold card? Also do we need to take a flight with etihad before they send out the gold card?

Took about a month, I am yet to accrue ANY points on the account.

But last year wasn't Gold still their highest tier ?
I heard the addition of the Gold Elite status was something recent ?

Well it is now August. Anyone heard anything?

Below is the snippet from the confirmation email.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for sending the documents. This is to confirm that we have received your application and will be reviewed shortly. Please be informed that processing of the files will be done within 30 working days and we will inform about the status of your application latest by 30 July 2013.

Warm Regards,

Etihad Guest team

Looking at posts on Flyertalk regarding previous status match offers, mid August
we may have an answer?

Notice the offer was on again in July, interested to see if they do the same this Month.

Still nothing.

Not really a great plan by them to convince me to fly with them if they can't even get this right. At least notify me I haven't been matched.

I heard they give alot of op-ups to their Gold Elite members.
Since I heard that I don't need any more convincing lol.

I've had 2 op ups as a plain old EY Gold. One from J to F and one from Y to J. And the latter was the only time I've been booked into Y since attaining Gold! (other than times when I used points to upgrade in advance)

1 out of 1 is pretty good odds - Perhaps you should look at flying Y more often then :cool:

I sent through my EK Gold documents on 5 June and haven't had a reply yet. Can anyone else beat that? They said on the June offer that they would reply by July 31 at the latest. And the July offer said 30 August at the latest. Maybe we're all being funnelled into the same batch?
