F Lounge Access with Plat

Re: F Lounge Access wtih Plat

The food is also of better quality in the F lounge, especially in the evenings when they hand out small plates of a curry and rice, dim sum nibbles, satay sticks etc. :D

The food offerings in the F lounge are definitely better that what is available in J.

Somone had to take a photo of the nice food in F just to see what I was missing out on.:shock::p

Life goes on, I wish this thread would die. ;)

But not better than what is available in most restaurants or even bistros at a fraction of the price of a status run to get into the F lounge. For crying out loud it is just a lounge not a gourmet restaurant with the worlds best chefs working there....

Yeah, but it's nice to have some options.

FWIW, I quite like the dim sum available at the SIN SkyView lounge.

... and I will route via MEL/SYD/HKG if it's reasonable to do so - simply because the F/lounges there are better than AKL/BNE/SIN/BKK!

I think I have one and will upload it later :p

Having a good food choice in the lounge means I can load up here and potentially sleep for longer on the aircraft and not feel like I have to fill my boots when flying - meaning I get o my destination more refreshed.

Seeing how relaxed mrssimongr was after her spa treatment really shows that the lounge experience is not just somewhere to park your a$$ whilst waiting for a bus...

I totally agree with you routing a specific way to have better lounge access is a sensible thing to do. I wouldn't want to be in transit in DPS/MNL/SGN. I would much rather transit through BKK/SIN/HKG....

Re: F Lounge Access wtih Plat

The MEL and SYD F lounges for food choice in a league of its own and is miles ahead of J lounge. However I am yet to be convinced the SIN F lounge is vastly superior to the J offering in SIN. Last Sat I checked both lounges in SIN and the food was about the same. Maybe it does get better later in the evening as my flight boarded at 7.30pm.

Re: F Lounge Access wtih Plat

Has anyone had experience as a WP guesting two people into the SYD FLounge? I have a weekend away with two mates in early December on the Gold Coast and would like to take both my travelling companions into the lounge.

Would I be likely to be more successful if I phoned the lounge a day or two prior and enquired about the possibility of two guests?
