Going through my passport wallet tonight I came across a Qantas First Lounge Pass.

It States "Be our Guest, You are warmly invited to experience the luxury of our new First lounge"

There is no Expiry date on it.

Does anyone know if it must be used in SYD or MEL, or can I can I give it to Granny V8 for F access in SIN?

Is this a pass as given out at check in which is an invitation to the lounge for the flight just checked in for? If so, then I would doubt very much that it would be useable at all by someone else later or is it a genuine invitation to try out a lounge like the Qantas Club passes given to silver members

I think the bigger question is: When did you miss out on going to the F lounge?

^ along with the question of why would you waste it on accessing that poor excuse for a Flounge in SIN? ;)

To be honest. I don't know. It is boarding pass size. One side is very white with Qantas Fist Lounge. The other side grey with wording and a map.

Because we live in PER, and will be traveling through SIN.

going PER-SYD-SIN... just may be worth the smoke house bacon in SYD! ;)

In SIN I actually prefer the J over the F lounge! I think the lack of pizza in the F may have weighted that preference :D

However, the J lounge lacks those random plates of fresh Dim Sum/Curry that get periodically distributed.

oh ok - sounds like I need to hang around the food section a little longer next time!

 ok - this is starting to sound better!

hmmm! are there any other differences that I may not be aware of?

Tell me what you are not aware of, and I'll let you know:rolleyes:

There is Icecream by the scoop down the back. Showers have body jets.

I'm pleased someone else enjoyed the pizza in the J lounge....maybe I could nip in their next time and grab a few slices before retiring to a quiet corner in the F.

That will serve no purpose to anyone ( other than provide a map to the lounge )

Those passes are given out at check in to 1st class passengers and their main purpose is to ensure that (a) the person is aware of their lounge opportunity and (b) to enable the person to find the lounge easily; they do not afford lounge access on their own other than with the appropriate Boarding Pass

Well that is rather useless then :)

I'll file it in the black square filing cabinet under the desk post haste.

The food is way better in the CX lounge in SIN. The QF/BA F lounge food has always been disappointing. The hot plates of food distributed during dinner is no better than a cheap food court.

While the ever present Dim Sum in the SIN Skyview lounge is fine, I believe the QF/BA F lounge has better catering; certainly "better than a cheap food court".

(Although I have had some wonderful feeds in "cheap food court"s.)

Now here's a thing, back in my SG days I would always prefer to use the Skyview lounge over the QF/BA J lounge as IMHO the food is better there.
