Qantas never check AFAIK. They have more serious issues to chase. We've bought FF tickets for many friends over the years with no issues.

And, it's probably against privacy rules for them to actually force you to prove it, and how? With birth/marriage certificates?

That first one, I can see why they got caught. They were buying/selling points (so probably a large number of points), and it looks like it involved at least 6 other users.

The second one, I'm genuinely a bit surprised they got caught, if they really only made one booking for somebody else.
