Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Brett Lee (again) at SYD international this morning.

I was waiting for my golf clubs at oversize and he came over I am guessing to collect his cricket kit. Has he been to India again?

Should have been a collection of Bollywood fans lingering around.. Perhaps he was waiting for those..

Sat behind Bob Hawke once (QF J SYD-MEL).

He was in 1D with a shadow.

No security of any sort for ex PM

Was sat next to Bob on a flight MEL SYD in J in the week before the fed election last month. Rather nice even if he did manage 4 glasses of plonk between take off and touch down. On this day there were some rather lowly looking staffers with him, but they were sent down the back. It was funny because I only saw Blanche 2 days before in the MEL J lounge.

I think he's retired from all forms of cricket, perhaps he was waiting for an oversize bag of hair products.

Ahh, the benefits of full time chauffeurs

A huh. My chauffeur that day was driving a train so I couldn't get as into it as he did. He did give me a lot of insight in regards to the federal election that I rather liked (I lean more towards the current government than Bob's ideals but never less) including how elections where it rains in the majority of the capitals can often end up influencing swings towards the incumbent as people don't like change when its raining! (thought it sounded like bull**** but I have since gone on to discuss this with some people on both sides of the political spectrum who had the evidence to prove it and had seen the same reports from the shrinks he was talking about) Also how the political parties are now really using shrinks in their policy development!

In The Lounge MEL mid morning Friday 11th.
Ken Rosewall keeping a close eye on the monitors for his flight.

Then both of the Umbilical Brothers sat at the table next to wife and I.

On our VA flight to HBA we were in business with Jane Kennedy. My wife a huge fan of her fantastic cookbooks. She managed a quick chat with her on the short walk to the terminal at HBA. Jane was lovely and so pleased to receive positive feedback on her work.

Maybe he was on holidays and was waiting for golf clubs.

He was wearing t-shirt, shorts and thongs and had First Class stickers/tags (I did not recognise) on his bags.

Derryn Hinch currently in the MEL J Lounge.

I assume he's enjoying his last few days of freedom before being put in the slammer again for breaching a court order/contempt of court.

Also famous for his saying "one door closes & another one slams in your face". :( :(

I believe the Magistrate told him "you are your own worst enemy, Mr. Hinch"

Also, currently sitting behind me is Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Ken Lay. Sporting a CL tag on his HL.

I wish someone would tell these faux-celebrities to rack off back to their own lounge. I don't care if it's being refurbished. Let them get a taste of what the general public endure for a change!

Shrek is currently on MH going to KL and the NZ Rugby League World Cup contingent are onboard.
Sonny Bill Williams is sitting behind him.

Yes it is Costa Georgiadis on Gardening Australia ABC1 on Saturdays at 6.30pm.
Used to be on SBS with Costa's Garden Odyssey.

A lovely chap full of energy and enthusiasm, although he is a landscape architect, not a horticulturalist.
