Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

I emerged from the Qantas Club in Sydney on Tuesday to find Julia Gillard coming out of the Chairman's Lounge and get on the escalator down just behind me. Travelling alone, pulling her own bags with no staff or security. Oh how life can change in 12 months for someone....

Well she still gets Chairmans lounge.

Saw SA Premier Jay Wetherill on our Dubai Adelaide flight in J last night with Emirates escort. He saw the need to go to France for the Tour de France to ensure we retain the Tour Down Under. And came back to another storm about yet another sex assault on one of the children under state care.

What ??? Not on a private jet ???

At least I can say he's not a mobile road block. For a large lad, he was speedy and direct and not blocking the concourse or wandering like a lost goat as some PITA pax do.

Yes I nearly ran into him while he was loitering outside the Lounge.

He likes leaving his car (of the day) with BNE QF Valet.....not so much the booking in and paying process. The girls have told me some funny stories about him pulling up and walking away with the keys. Serious wealth can get away with so much....

I had a leading Perth car dealer on board with me yesterday. I guess he would be (in)famous but he puffed up nicely when I told him I had helped a widow get a new Hyundai I20 from just over the causeway.....

Well picked Flashback. His second wife was a former flight attendant. We talked in Narita in the ANA lounge on the way to Los Angeles in Suites with SQ.

Pity even though they are away I still get to hear his adverts, also some advert tag lines never die do they.

Just now at Orlando, Florida airport, the one and only Mr Stevie Wonder. He was travelling to LA.

Now there's a blast from the past..........master blaster??

I think from memory, that was one of the first digitally recorded vinyl albums.....and it sounded awesome!

Stevie gets about, I saw him at Santiago airport in mid December last year as he was departing .......... but I can assure you he didn't see me...........

Had a shadow between me and Keiran Perkins yesterday. He's not as toned as he once was, but the again, neither am I

Watched him scoff his tim tam out of the corner of my eye. Fascinated he would eat one.

It was still a.m. and morning chocolate is like morning drinks - not going to happen. But that's just me. "Would you like my Tim Tam?" I asked.

He wouldn't bite.

Well, he does work for a bank, now .....

Oh, Clive. *Badum tish*

That reminded me - back in the days of my misguided youth, I was working as a call centre monkey for Ticketek in Melbourne. When Crown Casino opened, he came out for a couple of gigs to open it. Small room, intimate gig, dinner included and tickets cost a fortune. I got this absolutely caraaazy nuff nuff on the phone who said she would only buy tickets if I could absolutely prove to her that he was really, truly blind. She started in on this conspiracy theory that he wasn't really blind and that it was all an act to bolster his career and he'd been fooling the public all this time. And I had to prove otherwise for her to buy tickets.

I told her that being born black and blind in the US South in the 1950s (1940s?) wouldn't bolster any damn thing before hanging up on her. Most satisfying.
