Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Saw Laurie Lawrence in the PQQ departures lounge last night. He kept himself busy entertaining a couple of kids with magic tricks :)

Melissa George, QF12 on 23 Sep. As she came through the lounge in LAX there was a lot of "remember, that bird from Home and Away". :)

I sat behind Helen Clark, then PM of NZ, on an Air NZ flight from Auckland to Wellington - all amazingly low-key, an all-economy flight, she was in 1F and I was in 2F, she boarded a bit late with a minder/assistant of sorts, but that was about all!

shes only a kiwi!!!

My first sighting for this thread.

fmr. Senator Natasha Stott-Despoja, SYD T3 Chairman's Lounge.

Well well well, wonders never cease. Someone arrives right on minus 30 with baggage for ISA & one could be forgiven for thinking "here we go again" how many minutes delay will we get today but 10 minutes later they'd boarded the flight & they weren't last.

Might go and get a lottery ticket or something.

Geoffrey Edelstein looking very low key standing next to me at a US airport bar.
And the guy in across from me on the A388 with his daughter, was at the back of the cabin but had to move due to a technical fault. Surrounded by CC for half the flight, all taking notes (or numbers? - but his wife is downstairs with the baby). Looks like a rugby union player or maybe he is some kind of cabin crew guru dispensing wisdom. Kinda weird.

After a long flight from Munich to Seattle on LH J class, I went through US customs with Lauren Jackson who was returning to Seattle after playing for Australia in the 2004 Athens Olympics which I was watching on TV just a few days before the flight. We (Australia) lost to the US in the gold medal play off.

She was friendly and we chatted for a few minutes in the queue waiting for our US customs grilling. We're both Australian, she's 6'5" and I'm 6'2".

I delivered a Pizza to her when I was a Dougie back in the day (I actually had a name badge that said Dougie even though that's not my name)

Ita Buttrose in the BNE DJ lounge this morning an (I think) Ray Hadley in the SYD DJ lounge this afternoon

Shared a lift at Westin Sydney with Shelley Craft.Mrsdrron had to tell me who she was though.
Then met Kitkat at the Flounge.
