Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

I've heard of Akon the singer but can't say the same about Flayva Flav who sounds more like an item off the menu at KFC than a rapper.
More like an 80' (Maybe 90's?) tv ad for Maggi instant noodles.
Cheers
N'oz

I've seen Adam, winner of master chef season 2 in the Sydney J Lounge and also Gail Kelly, CEO of Westpac and one of the most powerful women in the world at the Sydney F Lounge

CLs get F lounge access when travelling Internationally. Also, I believe they can access the F lounge when flying other carriers, but not too sure about that...
They certainly can - once I saw a couple travelling EK economy out of MEL using the F/L.

I am staying at the Intercontinental SYD this week, and it seems the boy band One Direction is as well. Last time I saw security like this at a hotel was when I stayed at the Westin in Seattle and the VP of USA Joe Biden was staying.

So many teeny boppers down stairs, the taxi drivers are actually having difficulty pulling into the hotel entrance!

My brother has a friend who is a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. This guy would think nothing of jetting off to Stockholm for a day to catch The Boss in concert. On one occasion he was wandering around the streets of Paris nearby the hotel where Bruce was staying waiting for him to make an appearance. He knew The Boss wasn't too far away when he spotted some of the roadies out and about.

The friend was carrying around a poster in a large cardboard canister hoping to get it autographed.

Also in town & staying nearby (or possibly the same hotel as Bruce) was Bill Clinton attending a summit so here was this guy who could pass for a roadie himself ie a dishevelled mess carrying a cylinder & next thing he's got US Secret Service all over him thinking he's going to assassinate the President.

I did see her boarding pass and it was a qantas flight, seat 2A i think i remember seeing so it was a good seat regardless of where she was off to

West Coast Eagles in The Lounge in Perth right now - flying to Sydney to play GWS on Sunday.

I gotta get off this puter right away and go grab big Coxy to give him a few tips - his first coupla games not up to scratch IMHO.

Bloody hell, I wouldn't have thought the Eagles would fit in the PER lounge...

You might like to tell him they are actually playing the Giants at Blacktown on Sunday.

Update on WCE PER-SYD - all players - even those 7ft tall in Y - after take-off Big Coxy, Josh Kennedy and Big Q brought forward to J cabin cause legs too long.

Noticed in flight JK watched movies whole way - Big Coxy played with iPad - Big Q slept.

I asked FA's why no food for WCE players - was it cause just brought forward or maybe dietary reqs by club - no food at all for Big Coxy or Big Q - JK did apperently eat. They said did not ask for food - WCE players down back scoffed nuts / chocolate whatever like it was going out of fashion - go figure.

Jan 2009 I was travelling back to MEL from China via SIN - spotted 2006 Australian Open Tennis champion Amelie Mauresmo of France in the KF J lounge in T3.

Amelie was knocked out in the 3rd round in her last appearance in Melb by Victoria Azarenka - you should have seen the line up of 'stunners' Amelie had assembled in her entourage - OMH - simply gorgeous.

Approx 7 or 8 years ago landed in PEK and as we were taxiiing to terminal passed a 747 on left side emblazoned down side with UNITES STATES OF AMERICA - immediately remembered George Bush Snr in town representing USA at some conference.

Was staying at Kunlun Hotel in those years - directly opposite where new Westin is in Chaoyang district - opposite Lufthansa Centre other side of 3rd Ring Rd - 500mtrs up road from Hard Rock Cafe and Sheraton Great Wall.

I had a mate from Australia travelling with me this time and we went to Tianjin to a factory one day - returned to Kunlun and agreed to shower and get all lickety split before heading out for dinner - to meet down Lobby Bar on ground fllor at 8pm for drink.

I arrived few mins early - lobby bar is half moon shaped with maybe 20 tables - over half the tables have 1 guy sitting there - some in suits - some in civvys - none drinking - it just looked odd.

My mate arrives - I point out these guys who by now I had noticed had the full earpiece / thin curled wire thing happening in their ears - next thing all Chinese staff in hotel in unison stop work and stand to attention - all these guys sitting at table bounce out of their seats and make a cordon in the lobby - next thing George Bush Snr appears encircled by like 20 security guys as he sweeps through the lobby waving to all Chinese staff and is ushered out front door through now what is evident of hundreds of Chinese secutrity guys to waiting limos.

Unreal experience - absolute military precision - never cited him / them again.

I think we saw Warwick Capper at the lugagge claim after QF3 qrrival yesterday. He was not in J ;)
