Farewell QF 81/82 run SYD-ADL-SYD [Sat-Sun Apr 13-14]

There is the fact that qantas knows about 31 march and have said the flights are cancelled for April some time. For a start.....

I would love to book this....but who is to say the flights will still be running April 13? What is stopping Qantas from changing its thoughts again and stopping flights on or before March 31, the day QEmirates begins?

We can only go on what we know. It is getting a bit close to change the end date (again).

Ok, I'm in. I am being sociable. I could have selected a window seat behind you lot but then I couldn't wave to you across the aisle.

On the other hand, if we were all upgraded.....but I'm a lowly silver. Fat chance. But I did lose our direct flight from Singapore in July because of the announcement, so upgrade may be fair compensation methinks

Ok, I'm in for QF81 on 13 Apr. I'm crazy, but I'm in.

Have booked a bassinet seat 1A cos I expect I will blub like a baby the whole way.

Not sure at the moment if I can guest or not, as an equally crazy but non (as yet) AFF friend may join me who is SG.

What time does the F lounge open? I'll stay at one of the airport hotels on the Friday night and aim to get there at opening time.

Red Roo will you be joining us?

I am still to sort out if I will be a Friday arrival in SYD or Sat 6am on QF400 :shock:. If I make it Fri pm, then I am all for drinks/dinner somewhere.

I'm doing the red eye Saturday morning. My husband will be plat by then but as he travels hugely for work I won't be able to get him to come. I'm a QP member but lowly silver.

I arrived at the FLounge yesterday just as they were transitioning from Breakfast to All Day Dining, and yes, the Eggs Benedict was still listed.

That is normally my poison of choice, but after already having had some eggs earlier in the morning, I thought it best that I avoid any more rocket
fuel… at least I hope my fellow passengers on QF11 appreciated such a selfless move ;-)

My husband (sorry, I don't mean to sound like the Queen) rates F lounge highly. I've never been as we haven't travelled overseas thru Sydney yet. Arriving at 9ish, what might I expect? I'm thinking we'll have 90 minutes or so?

Until yesterday I was booked to travel BNE-SYD-ADL and then ADL-MEL-BNE on those dates but that booking has now been cancelled.

If it involved QF 81, hit the uncancel button
