Fast track (ie queue jumping) in Bali

The last couple of times my wife and I travelled to Bali we paid the $US50 or whatever to jump the queue at arrival. We were with a child and young grandchildren, and it was a late arrival.
Selfish? No doubt. Did it work? Yes. Was it worth it? Generally no I guess but….
As we got to the baggage carousel very quickly we saw two people wheeling our bags away. When I fronted them I was told “our bags”. When I pointed to the Platnium tag “no we’re Platnium too” (hmmm, two Platnium members with identical bags). Anyway I opened one and they walked away.
A genuine mistake? Maybe, but I’m dubious. Anyway the point is that without fast track, our bags were gone.
So we are off again in August again with children and grandchildren. We will do this again.
Any other experiences?

Without children, the eVOA (prepaid online) lets you use eGates so expect a lot of people getting through quickly these days anyway. Although, the queue for people still paying on arrival beggars belief.

Maybe invest in some Apple AirTags (or equivalent) if you’re concerned about luggage tacking a seperate holiday.

2 + 2 = 4?
