This random flight option popped up on a search. No idea if it’s even bookable, but for that price there will be people who will try.

<$4K return to FCO, QF/AZ via HND. In J. Availability appears limited to a couple of days in late Aug and September at that price.

Comes up as a fare from GoToGate who are particularly dodgy in the change fees they charge.

Nice find Scarlett! I had a quick look on Matrix and found the same fare and routing on ANA and ITA for $4.1K AUD. Salient fare rules:

- This is an AZ (ITA) issued ticket. Fare basis is DCLAU.
- Max 12 month stopover (great for nesting ex-EU cheap biz return)
- AZ must operate the flight to and from Japan
- QF and NH can operate the flight from Australia.
- Stopovers available in both directions at 75 Euros each
- Connecting flights available within Italy must be on AZ

AZ operate an A350 on this route and it’s sporting Collins Aerospace Super Diamond reverse herringbone seats. Online reviews are commendable.

WTC doesnt list AZ but presumably it will earn with their SkaryTeam and affiliated partners (inc VA). And of course you’ll earn a full dose of QF or NH in Business depending on where you credit those.

I wonder if you could try manually feeding the flights (multi-city) into a reputable OTA and try to ticket elsewhere?

Try a multi-city search on almostfriday for $3033 (including a $150 discount code) on the same dates above:

I'm returning a similar price for dates in June/August but can't get it to book into biz for all legs. If anyone can - PM me? I've got to get small person (and two big ones) to Italy to meet his nonna for the first time.

Yeah I can't seem to book this either, shows up on GF and Ita matrix.

Gotogate says it's no longer available and does not show up on any other OTA.

@Scarlett, it seems LoyaltyLobby picked up your find and and have now posted it on their website without crediting you. Poor form, but not unexpected.

It does price and it is sellable, but it's quite clearly a fat finger filing error where a 5 was replaced with 2. It's easy to see how that occurred.

Took the mixed fare and booked for 3 of us, June- August. 10k cheaper than the cheapest biz, 4k dearer than the cheapest economy. That route at that time of year, I'll take it.

I'm SURE that'll mean an excellent sale on Aus to Italy will start next week, so you're welcome.

QF books into I class, NH books into P class, ITA into D a discussed. It always difficult getting I class on QF I’ve found

I've got dates I want but can't get it to book - any recommended travel agents lurking on a Saturday night? Not working on almost friday.

Problem is travel agents get nothing out of this deal
it actually costs them to ticket it
its not easy to find dates that actually are ticketable

Oh of course, I'm happy to pay a fee (as is the new norm). I know their cut got axed.

surprised its still there
though very few dates avail.
wonder how many actually managed to ticket this
and if it will stick.

Three of us flew on this fare to FCO about two weeks ago - will return to Aus in August. Timing of flights was fantastic for reducing jet-lag for 4 year old (and adults).
