Fee waiver for NAB Qantas Plat

get to know your local bank manager, they have the ability to waive the annual fee.

I paid my annual fee two months ago for the Nab Platinum Velocity card and I called to cancel the card after the points reduction the card was no good for me, in the end they refunded the $150.00 annual fee. I will spend that and cancel the card. This card was one of the best value cards for the low annual fee but is now cough with the points cap

I was charged my annual fee on this card a couple of days ago. Called NAB to cancel and was refunded the annual fee immediately.

$250 annual fee came up on my statement. Fee refunded immediately when I said I wanted to cancel the card as Amex card was no longer included.

I had the fee refunded too in January after the AMEX was removed....now I'm on the hunt for a new card as NAB said the refund was a once-off.

I was offered free for life when I rang to cancel the NAB card a couple of years ago. Of course this year they charged the fee and professed ignorance when I complained. So this time I just cancelled.

Just rang to cancel after the $195 annual fee appeared on my NAB Rewards Platinum Visa statement - when I pointed out the $195 was included in my payout figure, they offered to reverse the fee, and let me hold the card for another year.

I accepted.

Yes I know, was just being a little facetious

Still cheaper today and comes with a (reduced) dividend that is still a hell of a lot better than bank interest so may well be an option for some

My NAB Qantas Rewards Signature Visa Card annual fee of $395 is due shortly. Any recent success of getting the fee waived or reduced if I call up? Otherwise I will cancel the card but understand i can't say that over the phone

Will be cancelling my card next week once the statement period ends and points are credited to my QF account.

Have nothing owing on the card, wonder if that impacts whether a fee reimbursement would be offered when I call up to cancel.

Doubt they will offer you the refund due to the banking royal commission they are a lot stricter....refused it with my card - so cancelled anyway.

I managed to get a once off waiving of the annual fee last month. Try to call after office hours and tell them that you have other banking relationships and accounts with NAB and you have been using the card monthly.

I rang up to cancel and ended up with a fee free for life card.
I mentioned that I am a shareholder but even though I don't hold the required 500 shares I still got the fee waived.

I cancelled the card online. I didn't even ring up. I'm trying to reduce the number of cards I have. Have around 10 atm
