Why not fly J class to BKK (or SIN or CGK) and then fly LCC (TR, AK, JQ, etc) to HKT?

Get much better service and wouldn't cost very much.

I'd give JQ the flick, personally.

Clifford,

Yes, I would prefer that as well. I originally wanted to fly QF Business to Singapore and then get a cheap flight to HKT. I even looked at flights to BBK in the same way.

The problem was that with our limited time frame for travel there were NO FF seats to Singapore at the time (in either class it seemed) and the idea of coughpy connecting flights didn’t appeal to me. I thought it better to get there as fast as possible and then enjoy the break as much as we can. Also we are trying to keep costs to an absolute minimum so we can enjoy the holiday some more (shopping, massages, rafting, drinking, eating etc) whilst not forfeiting the house by missing mortgage payments!

All,

I have been reading with interest the ways in which to get the best seat allocation. I will definitely be trying this. My girlfriend and I are both well over 6 foot so the extra leg room will be most welcome in an exit row (if I can secure it).
