QF 397 is FJ920

similarly QF 398 is FJ921

codeshared

The 737 max debacle means FJ are 2 aircraft short. They leased Miami Air 738 short term & it has returned to Miami Air & now they have leased a Malindo 738. They can probably get by, without leasing a 2 aircraft by using the like of Solomons. Their A320 has a new interior but it an old aircraft.

Why would anyone fly BNE/SYD/NAN when can do it nonstop ? That would add 4 hours transit each way, mean a 0600 departure from BNE & have all the stuffing around at SYD.

I'm not based in BNE, went and spent a few days there first prior so it makes no diff to me to go to SYD instead. I was aware it was codeshared and completely ok with that, but had expected FJ metal and from what I've heard they are a good operator, getting Solomon's wasn't expected. These things happen, so be it, I'm just saying I was a bit dissapointed.

it seems like Fiji Airways, Solomons, Nauru & Air Vanuatu are actually working together, during 737 max debacle. Noted Nauru is operating BNE/SON/BNE for Air Vanuatu & as stated Solomons are doing some Fiji Air ops.
