This is a TR for a recent Fiji Airways (FJ) A350 Business Class flight between MEL and NAN.
The details:
FJ934 (sold as QF3867)
MEL-NAN. 13:45 - 19:15 (4:30 duration)
A350 Business Class seat 11A
The flight departed 10 minutes late but arrived 35 minutes late (4:55 duration).
Fiji Airways A350 Business Class is a pleasant way to fly. The crew are lovely, the aircraft is nice, the seat is good, the food and beverage are OK but somewhat underwhelming.
My afternoon FJ flight MEL-NAN began with online check-in up to 48 hours before the flight. Although I received my boarding pass online and was HLO, I still apparently needed to go to the check-in counter. I did first stop at the service desk to confirm that. It at least was quick.
There’s no express pass offered in MEL. FJ use the Qantas Business Lounge when it is open.
As a Qantas WP, I could use the QF First Class Lounge. Being sold as a QF flight might have helped.
Boarding was done well with priority pax called first.
At the seat was a blanket, a menu, a bottle of Fiji Water and headphones.
There was no amenity kit or slippers or anything more. I think longer or overnight flights get some further offerings?
Pre-departure drinks, including champagne were offered. As was a towel service.
I *think* meal choices were requested too.
