The Radisson is good. My daughter and I had a lot of fun on the water slide. I won't bother uploading the photo, but imagine a bottle of Bollinger in a Dora the Explorer bucket - that sums up the place for me =)Will update on which resort we choose but at the moment a 1BR suite at the Radisson is looking as the winner so bub can sleep in bedroom while the wife and I are in the TV area / balcony etc.
One thing to consider before you book either is whether you're planning on having a second child soon and any impact Zika may have... QLD may end up being a better option if this is the case.
That's a fair point. Zika reported in both Fiji and Bali. But appears more prevalent in Bali.
Bali Belly? Took our infant son to Hamilton Island in Qld. He was still on formula milk so we were boiling the water. Took him to the Hospital and Dr said it was just travel yada yada. Spoke to another mum in the waiting room. Her baby had same issue. Got back home and had to have him tested. Dr on the island ignored the issue.
Seems that doesnt kill the giardia that was in the water supply. He became lactose intolerant as a result. And this was in the days before baby food catered for such issues.
Hey all
need some help
looking for a one week holiday for the wife and I with our 1 year old girl.
Happy to stay on property for 80% of time sitting by pool & close to room so baby can nap
I've been to bali, stayed in seminyak on a boys trip when younger, not sure i'd be very relaxed with a 1 year old there, but have heard nusa dua and other places have bigger & more kid friendly resorts.
Fiji looks great, places like intercontinental, shangri la, radisson etc all look very nice and big.
Have heard food prices are crazy, so will maybe look at a meal plan if possible.
What & where would you recommend?
Baby will still be napping 1-2 times a day so excursions etc are not really a likelihood for us, hence the resort itself will need to be spectacular so we really enjoy ourselves.
We're more than happy to sit by pool reading, playing with bub etc.
Also, concerned re return leg from Fiji to Mel being over 6 hours, so thinking buying Y tickets and upgrading to J via point redemption
Any advise you can provide will be appreciated.
I think the risk is higher in Fiji, but still a risk in both. I was planning Fiji but changed to palm cove for this reason
