Congratulations on attaining Lifetime Gold!

Gumpy, no Lifetime achievement milestones after Gold :(
The new Advisory Panel survey sent to a few AFF members reportedly asks opinions on a Lifetime Platinum level at 28,000 SC's. That would be a great enhancement to the QFF program.

I got the following from QF last month

The ultimate reward could soon be yours</SPAN>

Imagine enjoying all the benefits of Gold membership for the rest of your life.

Earn 14,000 lifetime Status credits and Gold membership will always be yours - regardless of how often you continue to fly!

It's the reward you deserve for your support in flying with Qantas, Jetstar and oneworld (R) alliance airlines over the years.

What are lifetime Status credits*?

Status credits are awarded for each eligible flight^ according to the distance you fly and your class of travel. The number you earn in a membership year determines your Frequent Flyer status for that year.

We also keep a record of all the Status credits you've accumulated during since you joined the program. These are lifetime Status credits.

As at 3 Nov 2010 your lifetime Status credit balance is 13011.

Lifetime Gold - any other benefits?

Just cracked the 14k, still dont have a letter but says I have made it on the website. Wonder whether I will get anything different, new cards etc. Also wonder if I get more upgrades? Can anyone comment?

Re: Lifetime Gold - any other benefits?

Jasecoop - Congrats

Nothing.
You only get a new card if you drop out of WP.

No reports that it boosts you up any order.

(Well done to the mods on merging the thread as I posted!)

That's a few new LTGs in the last month, and a few more closing.

Hi guys, just cracked the LTG hurdle on Friday night !!!I would have been there years ago if I wasn't so distracted by Singapore Girl in my youth!! The SAA business slowed things down a lot as well, but glad I made it.I am well and truly a Qantasphile now!!

Congratulations Sprucegoose! :)

Will you stick with QF and go for mythical "Lifetime Platinum"?

Congrats spruce.
By the end of the year I will be lifetime plat........but on AA.;)

Congratulations sprucegoose.

I am more than halfway to both, so I blame AA for taking my eye off QF LTG. But I'll reach both before they change the goalposts hopefully

thnxs Guys, its one of those milestone achievements and as we have been discussing, you can get easily distracted (a trap for young players) along the way.

Now there are more of us in this more rarified club, we should push for more benefits for LTG, such as Top of Priority lists and so forth. Are you picking this up Red Roo???

I'll add my congrats too... looking like another 2 years or so for me to reach LTG if I earn enough to retain WP for the next 2 years. Problem is my recent trips in SQ (and VS though that was on points), and rapid fall-off in work travel make that look more unlikely. Most of my recent points have been earned using JASAs!

It will be interesting to see what the new DJ program looks like: might tempt you to sit on LTG and earn status with Velocity?

Congratulations sprucegoose! I should hopefully be there in another 3-4 years.

And well done drron as well.

I'm surprised at how low key QF play LTG. The letter is quite underwhelming. I would have thought, at the very least, QF would play this up a bit and try to make LTG's feel loved. It wouldn't cost much just to offer a little more in the way of congrats.

Well Done! :) Mine is still many many years away - even if they dont move the goalposts, as they just might :(

I for one hope they don't move the goalposts on Aug 24. I'm less than 500 SCs away now after a big few weeks on double SCs

I agree. I wasn't exactly expecting a life changing moment when I hit LTG, perhaps just a little more recognition for many years of loyalty. Even a personally signed letter rather than what seemed to be a pre-printed form letter would have been nice.

Congrats too sprucegoose...
