First class check in for falcons in Dubai

I recently had experience of a pet on board when the woman sitting next to me in J on an AA flight MIA-SXM parked one of her carry-on bags half under the seat in front.

As takeoff time approached, I was thinking the bag was really a bit too big as it didn't fit completely under the seat in front and I was thinking of saying something (I was window-side) when I realised from a comment made by the FA doing cabin check that it contained her dog.

I wonder what would have happened about the 'leave all items behind' if we did have to evacuate and how much it would have impeded my exit :rolleyes:.

The dog did not utter a sound but I did think it was a bit dodgy from the safety perspective. Why doesn't AA place pets in the hold, I wonder - and where do they draw the line on size?
