I'm making my first ever F Flight from Bangkok to Sydney tomorrow evening with Emirates. Tickets were bought last Friday (work paying). I haven't had any contact directly from Emirates, what should I not miss out on?

Pre-flight - Are there any hidden perks? Additional lounge services not widely advertised etc?

In-Flight - Apart from meals and suite comfort, anything else to take advantage of?

Cheers for thoughts.

That sector was our first class experience too, courtesy of a free upgrade so no anticipation.

It was nice to get some sleep on the flat bed although it was a really bumpy flight. Not a 380 so no shower unfortunately. Take the stationery box that is in a sliding drawer. And the toiletries in the table. (you can see both in the picture below). You will get F PJ's which are bulky so make sure not too much carry on to fit them in. And the nice amenities kit. Then just enjoy the comfort and Dom!

If an a380, the shower!

Otherwise like the CaptJCool said the Chauffer service is fantastic and like Pushka said there are little amenity kits and stationary and things hidden everywhere, clean up.

Sample some food and drink (Hennessey Paradis!) you wouldn't normally get, have your bed turned down while you change into your stylish PJs .

Unfortunately that route isn't the 380. Except for the rear J bar and shower it is identical. And I still am in awe I have had the chance to compare an F experience on two flights. Come January I can add the Qantas 380 to the comparison.

Not sure what lounge you get but I don't think it will be stellar, so don't get your hopes up. Mainly book the chauffeur home (and to the airport if possible) but EK is pretty straightforward. PJs, amenity kit, stationery kit and makeup/refreshment kits are all there for taking.

Well, experience was great in-flight. Guess I'll have to wait and see for the Dubai Lounge/Sydney F Lounge experience as the Emirates Lounge at BKK is pretty basic in terms of services.

Moet & Chandon Imperial Reserve was better than the Dom Perignon. The seating comfort is a definite step up on business which I wasn't necessarily expecting. The suite is way more spacious than I could have imagined. Service was great. New toiletries bag and also getting to keep the headset for next economy flight is tops. Will definitely need to do it again one day!

Thanks for tips.

Mmm. Dont think you are supposed to take the earphones.

Naughty JohnK. Anything else? Pillows? Blanket?
Not pillows or blankets. Just headsets.

Qantas CSM gave me a set of business class headphones once. I should start using them at work and on trains.

Aren't they powered, with the third prong? Those ones are next to useless.

I've never used a carrier's set of headphones, always have my own PXC-450s.

Pretty sure they are. Can't be used outside the aircraft.
Sound quality is pretty garbage anyway so not sure why you'd want to use them even if you could.
