I was enjoying the red in J on my first flight as WP yesterday afternoon (DRW-PER) and the CSM gave me a bottle to take home as I was exiting the aircraft ;) Looking forward to all my upcoming work trips in J just that little bit more exciting.

Sorry to rain on any parade, but unfortunately the reality in FF terms is that WP is one level below the top tier, which is now P1, apart from J lounge access unlikely to see much in tems of extra services

I believe that is not quite correct... additionally there are certainly a number of others with WP, P1 & other status with equivalent same, similar &/or more benefits & for many other airlines, including QF, just that perhaps they are more humble

Likewise... & without bragging, I've also been looked after quite well on certain sectors of QF I regularly flew, even at a lower tier level.

wow nice, i dream to be like you!! .. since i am going to be doing BNE-TSV 2-3 times a month soonish...

I'm too much of a light-weight (drinker that is, damn BMI won't go back below 26 :() that it meant two Crownies only.

Out of Perth, I get a greeting on the plane maybe under 50% of times. One time they offered me and wife each a pair of business class headphones. Don't expect anything more. I flew quite a lot on CX, and they seem to treat the OWE (even the ones from other OW partners) much better than QF does.

Don't expect anything and all will be fine.

For what it is worth I had an upgrade to premium economy recently, had 3 different CSMs and a business class passenger greet me at different stages of the flight.

CX are well-known for treating those with QF status very well.

Wait... business class passenger?! He/she must've thought you were a celebrity!

At a guess the business class passenger was another AFF member. Johnk is a minor celebrity around here.

Johnk is instantly recognisable as the only one on the plane with someone in front of them who has fully reclined their seat :)

Or the one that has multiple boarding passes for the same leg on the same day but for different flights due to cancellations usually on Virgin ;)
