Just a quick report on how this works...for us *Golds.....

I booked CBR-SYD-SIN-BKK on SQ (and on the SQ website) and flew it last Friday...

Checked in at the Virgin Biz desk at CBR.. Not only was this no problem, but the check in agent claimed that I showed as Platinum in their system.. (??)

No problem with the 2 bags I was checking in... priority tags applied and checked all the way... was then asked if I would like seat 1A "for some extra legroom".. Only problem there of course is that it's an ATR .. so a great seat... but last off!

Off to the lounge with the friend who gave me a lift to the airport.. no problem with access + guest, in fact was told I could have 5 guests (which is the NZ Gold Elite entitlement...interesting!)

Once seated discovered that 1C is not allowed to be occupied "for takeoff and landing".. so noone next to me either..

Young and keen staff all the way through.... only disapointment was the lack of a dedicated shuttle between SYD terminals... was told to hand Virgin voucher in on the normal transfer bus..

Given these benefits apply even when on stand alone Virgin flights it is not hard to see who I'll be travelling with domestically from now on!

P.S. Greetings from BOG....

Just to ask was this as a NZ *G(E)? i.e. A united airline *G would not expect such treatment.
