Hi All,

How does one tell which 767 is refitted when booking a flight on the QF site?

e.g. SYD-MEL-SYD.

Thanks,
K.

You can't tell until you see the seat plan.

The ZX's have the mini cabin at the front and aren't fitted out.

Also note OGP hasn't been face lifted either..

All of the seats in the 767 that have been given iPads have a new seat cover that includes a leather hook into which the Qantas iPad (or indeed any other 'decent' tablet case)..

The international configured 763s do not have iPad holders on the seat backs in J.

Given they were all meant to be done by now and OGPs leased, I wonder if she is not going to get it?

Did SYD/HNL/SYD on refurbed 767 in March, sat in excellent 2nd row Y exit seats think 35 K/J, so much room slide out tray from seat in front had 3 positions!.

The first exit row 34 does NOT have any ipad holders - would have thought that it would have been an easy install on the bulkhead wall (small monitor is located on this wall).

Also row 23 (the bulkhead row) does not have any iPad holders either. It can be difficult to fit both the iPad and dinner on the tray table without having either item on the floor (thankfully I have mastered that now ).

Always take my trusty iPad with me, so didn't use the table much, the supplied iPad not at all, just hung the case flap it has onto back of seat in front, in exit seat where door is then yes it is a problem.

Flew my first refurbed 767 on Friday and back again today and I have to say I'm really not impressed with the iPad. The Q-streaming isn't started until after the seatbelt sign is off and is switched off well before landing, meaning I couldn't even get through a 45 minute programme today between SYD and BNE. Also the headphones supplied are absolutely terrible and because of where the iPad is, end up getting tangled up during meal service.

The refurbed 737s have much better AVOD, IMO.

It has been mentioned before but the 73Hs with AVOD are not refurbs, they cant help it, they were born that way. ;)

Thanks, I didn't realise that. Either way they are better than the rubbish iPad idea on the 763s.

I disagree. The iPad is the cheapest way for QF to improve its mediocre overhead IFE (projectors and all) offering previously found on these birds. There is no point refitting them with fancy new seats with AVOD when they are due to be retired soon.

Does it make sense to complete a full refit of the 767's considering the life left in them?

Considering that, it is a fairly good compromise I feel
