First time staying at the Hilton confused

With Hilton 2, 3 and 4 night (and some longer) bookings generally price at the highest rate of the individual nights; even if other night can be had for less.

Check the cost of the second night booked separately.

I often do this, book individual nights and then a few days before arriving, I contact the hotel and get the bookings linked. I have saved quite a lot this way.

+1 to this. I see this as a rort but in reality, it's the hotel making it easy for themselves and ensuring they can offer the same room throughout the stay. In practice, I've never had a hotel not link the bookings later. I've also had the need to change from a cheaper night booking to a more expensive night booking a few times now and have done it through the HH diamond desk and each time they've held the cheaper rate. I don't abuse that knowledge though, as I'm scared of OnQ!

Cleared cookies and repeat the process.

Check in October 24th - 26th is $300 each night

Check in October 25th - 26th is $440

I might call them up tomorrow and see if they can do something about it.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the helpful advice !

I had to go up to a bigger room for the weekend but took advantage of the 15% off code so only paid $20 more. Did miss out on the double points unfortunately but still managed to save a good amount on the room i'm currently booking.

I"m just curious will my 4 stays in 90 days count if one of them is in Jan next year ? I thought you have to qualify for Elite status every 12 months.

The fast track with MVP is separate from normal qualifying.

It's 4 stays in 90 days.

If one is in January that will also count towards 2016 qualification.

I accidentally booked for a one night stay at $219 last night instead of two, when I went to change the booking to two nights it said it would be $258 each night (not sure why the first nights price moved up to $258)

Just as a sidenote to this, I just booked a 3 night stay at HoTP and one night (Sat) was quite a bit more expensive. When I made the booking, it automatically priced all nights at the cheapest rate. I'm not sure if I'm just lucky this time, or if this is a new unwritten benefit for status. FTR, two nights were $165 and the third was $215. Booked all together and each night priced at $165 ($495 total).

Hotels often define cheaper rates for multi night stays; so this can happen.

Having indicated that, I admit I have not looked recently, it may have changed. I guess that due to me rarely having more than a two night stay.
