First Upgrade one on sector - QR

Hi All,

Feeling like I’m probably going to be told something I should already know… But:
QFF Gold travelling DUB-SYD via Doha and Perth in January in J. Originally on 787-8 and QSuites for the QR legs but the DOH-PER leg has changed to an A380.
Trying to find how to upgrade to F on that leg? When searching the itinerary again I only get J fares and ExpertFlyer shows the whole F cabin is available. The only way I can see QR is selling fares in F cabin is by searching just that leg either one way or return. Any advice or past experience?

From this, it appears that you can only apply for an upgrade a few days before departure via one of several methods (I must admit, I didn't know this before!)

I had a look at this one and hadn’t seen the mentioned of “a couple of days” so thank you. Might just have to wait till then. I was even trying to look to change the ticket and pay for a F fare for that leg, but First isn’t available when searching for DUB-SYD. It looks like I’d have to break up the booking and do J DUB-DOH, F DOH-PER then J PER-SYD. Sounds harder than it’s worth

DUB-DOH on a 788 isn't Q Suites. And QR will email you an upgrade offer if there are seats available. I'm flying on Sunday and received an upgrade offer by email last night.

Sorry @BNEFlyer - I meant there was the DUB-DOH 788 leg plus the DOH-PER leg which was originally QSuites before the equipment change to the A380.
