PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

Anyone able to see what the seats look like on QF1 to London tomorrow from Sydney (Wednesday 19th April?) waiting to see if my upgrade request will go through for economy - premium economy (mostly for the extra baggage) as a silver FF

With W7 you might be lucky.

thank you, and excuse my ignorance by W7 means?
It means that at least 7 seats are still available for sale in that fare bucket in PE.

F & A are First. J, C, D & I are Business, and W, R & T are Premium. It flows in order of flex/cost within the cabin class. With a day to go, 7 seats is a healthy sign, as many higher status pax would have been upgraded by now, probably from J>F & PE>J, which is why PE is looking a little emptier now. You might still have Gold status folks ahead of you though. Good luck!

Cheers,
Matt.

Good evening.

I’m assuming my gold FF chances are close to 0 on an upgrade from economy flex to PE or Business for these flights (have opted for both) but I would appreciate any insight for flights;

QF51 BNE-SINGAPORE on this Saturday the 22nd.
QF1 Singapore - LHR also on Saturday the 22nd.

Thanks very much in advance!

Can I get the load for SYD to LHR on 5th May on QF1.

Am flying PE but have an upgrade request in for J, but wondering what chance I have of clearing. Unfortunately I am a lowly bronze.

Could I get an update on this? PE looks almost full now bar one or two seats on the seat map being empty..

TIA

Thanks, thinking Y to J doesn't look impossible on the former?

Not looking too bad across all of those flights as they stand today, a lot of fare buckets still wide open. Both QF2's are in an almost identical position right now as far as availability is concerned. Keep checking in for updates as it gets closer though - be interesting to see how things shape up closer to departure.
