PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Hi folks, last time of asking for this one I promise!

Wonder if someone would be kind enough to please check and provide the latest loading info for QF25 22 MAY SYD-HND?

2 x pax currently booked in Y. Submitted an upgrade request to J for both back in November (as SG), but am now WP. I know confirmed upgrades will happen at T-72 at best for WP, but i have a sneaking suspicion I’m being processed as a SG. I can still see J-Flex seats for sale, so assuming there are seats available for upgrade, but the closer we get to departure time, the less confident I am. This is only my 3rd classic upgrade and first as anything higher than NB so my experience of what’s “normal” is lacking in such matters.

Cheers!

Hmm… that’s less promising then. If the upgrade has been processed and approved, should I already know? Or is it possible they’ve processed it and just haven’t sent notifications yet? I can still buy 2 x Biz Flex on their site for the same flight via their website So it’s strange seeing only 1 x J seat on the loadings.

And thanks @Captain Halliday for checking 👍

Hi everyone, would be very grateful if someone could please be kind enough to check the J cabin seat map for QF43 (SYD-DPS) on 20 July. Appreciate it's way in advance but just trying to sort out a seat selection issue. Many thanks in advance.

Here's availability and what is selected, so far. Note that depending on your status, you may be limited to selection of certain rows until T-80.

Hello, is it possible for someone to check the loading for QF94 LAX to MEL 24 May. I have had to change my flight last minute so have put in an upgrade request but not sure if I'll have much chance as it is so late. I am in a Flex Premium Economy seat hoping to get upgraded to J with Silver club status

Hi
Can anyone please help check loading and chance of success of upgrade to Business via Points :)
QF12 - LAX to Sydney - May 27 2023 - Booked Classic Rewards Economy
Bronze , Qantas Club , Points Club Plus

Usually as a bronze I wouldn’t be that confident for you but the numbers are good. I’m also not sure where upgrade requests from award seats sit in the pecking order. Let us know how you go as a data point.

Hi everyone. One week out from this trip and hopeful some J seats have become available... can the below please be checked?
4 June 2023 QF23 SYD -> BKK
14 June 2023 QF82 SIN -> SYD
Many thanks!
