PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

For Questions about Aircraft Configuration and Seat Availability, please use this thread:

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

I have a friend looking to upgrade on the following
PER - SYD QF566 (8:05am) on the 18th April
and
SYD - PER QF583 (19:30) on the 22nd April

Is there 2 x U available as there are 2 in the booking. Also would either of the flights have skybeds at this stage?

Did you mean QF 576?

Thanks for that looks a reasonable load but J and F seem light

Yes, I would say pretty good chance of scoring a points upgrade Y or Y+ to J on QF9. J to F is always hard to predict...

Just thought I would provide feedback ended up getting an OP UP so P1 may have worked for a change lol And have to say the crew have been sensational in all aspects of service.

I'm on QF128 on 16/4 booked in PE. FlightStats shows:

F/3 A/2 P/0

J/2 C/0 D/0 I/0 U/0

F was showing as 4/2 and J at 0 last time I checked. Hoping my points upgrade PE-J comes through!

Less than 24hrs to go and no upgrade has come through for me.

F/1 A/1 P/0
J/0 C/0 D/0 I/0 U/0
W/0 R/0 T/0 Z/0
Y/9 B/9 H/0 K/0 M/0 L/0 V/0 S/0 N/0 Q/0 O/0 G/0 X/0 E/0

Does this mean there were 2 WP1s or CLs in PE who used points that got there over me, or would they take 40k points off a WP in Y to upgrade first so they can oversell Y?

Also with the 1 F seat remaining - would they bump a high status J passenger so they can take points off someone who applied for a J upgrade?

Upgrade has come through for me. Yay!

I've been given 16J according to MMB. What's this like?

I went for 18E last time I flew QF128. I like not having to worry about someone in the window getting by me or vv, so the middle pair with direct aisle access are good. It's overnight too so the view out of the window is non-existent.

Wondering if I'll be shown any EK op-up love this Sunday. Looking in KVS at EK409 MEL-DXB:
F4 A4 J7 C7 I7 O7 P7 Y9 E9 R9 W9 M9 B9 U9 K9 H0 Q9 L9 T9 V9 X9

Seems pretty open, so I guess there's little chance. EK75 DXB-CDG however looks more promising:
F1 A0 J7 C7 I0 O0 P0 Y0 E0 R0 W0 M0 B0 U0 K0 H0 Q0 L0 T0 V0 G0 X0

Will travelling with two NBs on the same booking adversely affect my chances?

I don't know the answer, but would be interested to hear if you and 2 NBs do get an op-up.
