Flight cancelled a day early due to wind?

As an aside, on my drive to BNE I saw some massive fat military looking aircraft flying south. Four engines - looked like something out of Agents of SHIELD (although that thing has 6 engines and can land like a Harrier jump jet).

Sounds like one of the RAAFs C-17s. By all accounts an excellent aircraft.
