Hi all
I booked a multi city itinerary with Qantas with one leg on Jetstar from Singapore to Penang.
Qantas emailed me today advising the flight departing at 13:40 has been cancelled and they've offered another Jetstar flight departing at 7:00am the next day.
Am I entitled to any compensation as it will necessitate an additional nights accommodation in Singapore. I tried to get Qantas to put me on a Malaysian flight instead but they reckon I have to speak directly with Jetstar and the flight must only be taken with Jetstar.

Any advice before I tackle Qantas again.

Thanks

Tbh I would be asking for a same day option eg to be put on MH or SQ. A 29odd hour difference is nit acceptable and you shouldn't have to accept that.

The operator was adamant that I could only fly Jetstar. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she was dismissive and said the supervisor will say the same thing.

IMHO Your contract is with Qantas - they have acted as the Travel Agent in this instance and should be obligated to get this resolved. I, too, would be asking to escalate this.

Considering they also sell MH on those tickets from AU-Malaysia via SIN I can't see why they can't rebook you on MH

Second attempt - QF will not budge. They're saying its Jetstar or nothing. No compensation for overnight in Singapore. Looks like Singapore Airlines will be getting my business.
