Flight options from MEL to HNL

Hi everyone - Can anyone suggest me any possible VA flight options from Melbourne to Hawaii around Jul 2022. I tried online but does not seem to give me any options in VA. Any pointers or tips to book tickets will be greatly appreciated.

VA dont fly to Honolulu at all. If you’re wanting to use your points, they partner with Hawaiian airlines, and you’d need to call to check availability And book over the phone.

you will need to fly out of Sydney or Brisbane

out of Sydney - 78k + taxes
out of Brisbane - 67k + taxes due to distance
though i believe no lounge in J in Brisbane.

I booked Sydney to HNL in J return, I was double checking the American Airlines points rewards website to look for availability and when i saw a few options I called up velocity and was able to secure them.

American Airlines is a good guide for award availability on HA. Use AA to search for availability and if there is any you can then call up VA and try to book.
It’s not foolproof but it seems to be the only real way of checking availability

no tie in with VFF, its more like AA having tie in with Hawaiian airlines

You could always fly JetStar. They have direct MEL-HNL flights.

Was waiting for someone to say this to me , I already checked the fare and looks to be 500 less than the other carriers. For me , does not make sense to pay same price with no benefits. So the though of looking for other flight options where I could use my FF status , if possible.
