Flight oversold on virgin

I rang Amex today also, the melb to adel leg did cost them 75 dollars, therefore it is the credit I got. Although a bit disappointed, I think it is alright.

It is a bit unfortunate that it happened on a cheap (ie free) flight!

Back in the DJ LCC days they were regularly $79 2 - 3 months out. Now I'm lucky if I can get get it for under $100 (I fly this route monthly).

Why did Tiger fail to return to Adelaide? Wasn't it their second base?

Perhaps the airport fees were too high but it was great that they flew out of the exact same terminal and gates and DJ and JQ!

Hmmm, I would imagine "oversold" happens whenever XFB goes "broken" and a 737 is substituted. Happened to me last Xmas Eve. VA rang and offered to move me to a later flight plus a full credit but I preferred to get home for xmas on time. What was annoying was that I couldn't get a exit row / Blue Zone seat because it was full with the A330 VA staff deadheading!!
