Just putting my feelers our regarding the best time to be seeking the best deals for a trip for my wife andI to Paris around April next year?

I should mention that this would be an economy fare but that I would love to upgrade it using about 150,000 + QFF points (hopefully I should haver his amount by then) and that I am Qantas Club member..

Never having used the points for upgrading, must I do this via Qantas booking website at the time of booking or can I book through a third party booking agency and somehow upgrade via points with them or seek Qantas's assistance with the upgrade once I have booked with the third party.

Apologies if this May seem obvious to some but for me it's all new territory

Other will help you with booking and upgrade advice but let me note that QC membership means nothing to QF - you have paid for lounge access - nothing more, nothing less. It will not help your chances of flying premium.

Thanks for your comments smit0847, I only meant that having paid for the QC membership, I would only want to travel with Qantas or those airlines where access to the lounge facilities would be reciprocated.
