HNY all,

There's quite a bit of commentary on this site regarding such flights. Try searching for Trans-Tasman J flights and have a look in the trip reports section.

I am quite a fan of these flights and have done the SYD-AKL run about 6 or 8 times with QF, mainly in J. Also flown to/from MEL and BNE with very similar experiences. The aircraft aren't the best (older 737s) but have decent IFE. The NZ-based crew are almost always excellent and I find the food and service on the evening flights top notch. Others prefer EK hard product in J. The quality of the crew will keep me on QF for the time being.

I agree with everything kermatu has said.

For reference, here's a link to the previous discussion about Trans-Tasman Business class: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....quent-flyer-program/trans-tasman-j-70374.html

While the QF 737s flying to NZ aren't that great (standard recliner seats in Business) I have always enjoyed the service provided by the Jetconnect crew on these flights, and in Business you should get a pretty decent meal (and champagne) :)

Last week flew J from Queenstown to Sydney, Jetconnect crew are excellent, majority of the crew were indigenous which came as a surprise.
