Anyone ever had this? Will they take them off me? They pushed me into Partner Gold. (I have no partner so it doesn't matter I guess)

Have heard it happening when changing flights, and getting credit for both the original booking and the actual flight. Seems to be a random event though

I have no plans to fly that route in the system.

I rang them up and the woman on the phone was "That's odd" and kinda left it at that. That was yesterday, they are still there today.

If you don't munge (hide) the details and dates, I'm sure some lurker will make sure they go missing  (waves to Qantas lurkers!)

Yeah it has happened before. Not to me though. Normally you would have had to have booked the flights at some time, or had them reserved, then cancelled or changed and the changes not go through correctly.

LOL

I too late and can't see any flight details at all... took me a minute before I realised what happened....

Umm - ok

Assuming if this post gets edited by an admin that I am correct in the following assumption.

Assumption is that QFF staff browse threads and adjust flights in the event of cough ups by QFF.

Counterpoint - if QF are doing that - then why arent they reviewing the AAdvantage thread and bringing people back to the fold?

B'cuz, AA have to pay QF for AAdvantage Awards on QF metal.

AFAIK, while QF might have to pay AA some level of compensation for AAdvantage members flying in Qantas flights; the redemption income outweighs any such payment.

My thought is that the numbers of Australians ( QFFs target market I suggest ) that know AAdvantage exists and how to use effectively is fairly low and QFF is happy to take the hit on some people migrating there rather than bring the QFF scheme back into being a FF scheme with decent awards

I agree. And plus everyone is still flying QF anyway! Issue is with QFF not QF so to speak. I'm planning my AA plat in October, personally I would avoid AA (the airline) but I'm happy to be apart of any easy OW status grab!

I am not aware that there is any direct evidence of QFF staff doing this. Seems to me people just recognise that there is a risk in exposing too much information, and want to play it safe.

Plenty of evidence that QF monitor these boards, officially as well as unofficially. Witness the results of Ozfest last year.

Whilst they do not contribute (which is a shame, it would be good to have some direct involvement, both here and on FT) there have been enough instances where issues which have been raised (here and on FT) have been quickly addressed (mostly in terms of closing loopholes).

I also have had direct evidence that they do monitor these boards beyond that mentioned by Thadocta

Not disputing that, but has there been any evidence that people have had entires reversed out of their accounts due to something they have said on this board?

I think this is a bit consiracy theory thing.
I had a 2 errors with FF points over the last 2 years.
The first was double points when a last minute flight change occurred at the airport...that turned out to be the way the system processed crediting the points..they found it got reversed .. bugger..although he flight i got chnaged to was upgraded a a checkin person to J and I somehow got the J points...again another staff error..this wasnt found;) .
The second was points for a trip I didnt do..
That turned out to be a stuff up by an airport staffer incorrectly putting
my FF number in someone elses booking (same common name)..points again
got credited then deducted...It turns out the rightful owner asked where they were and a search on his orig booking showed my FF number ...so it got pulled and he got his points...again bugger
Most for these errors are just human...now if i didnt have to chase my points for hotel stays all the time I would be a lot happier..Is there any hotel chain that actually credits points correctly?
