OT - @Aussie Ski Bum. Hey ASB, using two profiles!
Snows fallen, why the US trip - to retain Gold or to buy new skis.

Just a fail on the spelling eh JK ;)

*taught*
So I made a spelling mistake for a change! Who knows what I was thinking at the time I posted!

Bought, caught, fought, gought, nought, sought, taught, wrought.

Still a pretty good speller considering English was not my first language....

Ahh I registered twice over time forgetting I had already done so and my work computer is still set on ASB while the home and laptop one is on ausi ski bum.

I am off to the US to the Workability International Conference (disability services) and I even get to present which I am looking forward to. Around 1000 Merkins attending so am sure I will have fun :lol::evil:.

Oh and the point score is a bonus, traveling PE on Qantas, my first A380 flight in fact however I am a little perplexed how they have put PE at the back under the tail.

With some luck I may even get an operational upgrade seing PE is full and Business is not. Not wasting points on an upgrade, they are for ski trips not business trips:p

Same here, currently have the popular row 38JK seats but also watching the blocked out front row 34 (SYD-LHR).

Currently have a booking for QF505 BNE-SYD connecting to QF421 SYD-MEL (both sectors in J), before catching the QF9 in F out of MEL. Thinking of changing to the QF8 for the BNE-SYD, just for the novelty, having never seen the refurbished 747s, then taking a later SYD-MEL, perhaps QF429.

I guess this would mean collecting baggage at Syd international arrivals, then rechecking at the domestic connections area? Its definitely more of a hassle than the original plan in terms of checked baggage, plus less Flounge time in MEL.

Does anyone think its worth it? I've never been to the BNE Qf lounges, nor taken a 747 with new interiors, so thats the main attraction for this plan.

Maximise time in MEL if you like drinking... that'd be what I'd do. Arranged a connection through SYD with a 6-hour stop in the F lounge earlier this year, just wish I'd made the flight ;)
