It's my new favourite travel app. Yes, it does sync with Tripit.

So just checking that all your work trips (like mine that get pumped into TripIt) - get sucked out by Flighty? Can you also manually load other people’s itineraries into it to track them?

Just checked and my settings are the same as yours.
I have been getting notifications but my phone is usually always on silent and either on Focus or Do Not Disturb.

Probably just as well. The first time I got an alert on the phone, it sounded like the bloody alarm and gone off. . Other times I had it on silent but my Apple Watch still made me aware.

Observation. Current domestic flight 7 min delay. Flighty and airport screens show it, but TripIt seems oblivious, 30 mins out.

This is neat. Flighty puts a highlighted ( blue circle) plane icon at my departure gate at AUH

I just downloaded it - but thanks to my 15+ years of TripIt pro it’s retrospectively made all the stats from previous years too.

Initial feature I like most is it’s commandeered my notch now I’m within an hour of boarding, regardless of what app I am using. Very handy.

What’s everyone’s experience in terms of how many hours prior to flight does data populate into the “Where’s my plane” section? I have a gate assigned for my flight (currently just over T-12) but supposedly no tail number assigned. I’m assuming this must already be known but has not yet populated in the source data repositories.

That’s Airline dependent via FR24, not Flighty.
Some eg Qantas don’t release this early at all.

further to Princess Fiona‘s comment, Virgin on the other hand, shows this about a day before hand, so you can actually track your plane's journey ( and delays) over almost 24 hours prior to it reaching your Airport.

Same with the flight plan - some airlines provided it to whatever service Flighty gets it from, and some don’t

For reference, my scenario is QFi. Have noted recent OTP for this route to be pretty consistently delayed (although I guess many would suggest that’s par for the course for most routes!), so was interested to see what the story was for my upcoming flight.

Got a notification this morning on Flighty to let me know about a change of aircraft on my DOH-ADL flight in a couple of months. Changed from 777 to A359. Interestingly QR’s website still had it as a 777 until about an hour ago but now it’s showing correctly.
Still QSuites though
