I'm doing my first FLounge run on Friday - (MEL) JQ36 Friday 9am and (SYD) JQ35 Saturday 3pm. Does anyone have suggestions/advice on how to maximize our fun with the lounge?

Haha let me know how you go, I was planning on doing one from Canberra at some stage too, mine would prob be the 8:30am flight to Sydney, then the 3pm jq35 to Melbourne, then fly back from Mel to cbr whenever.

Thatd give me ~5 hours in the Syd F lounge :P

You won't get in early for JQ36, however on JQ35 you could try at T2 to get your boarding pass from there.

Booked JQ30 last Friday leaving Mel for Syd 11:30 coming back Tuesday JQ35 15:00. All set for my first Flounge experience. Arrived at airport just after 08:00 to find JQ30 cancelled got put onto JQ36 leaving at 09:00 no lounge not impressed at all as I was trying to impress my wife with the benefits of WP. Immigration and security was very busy as well, at least 30 mins. At least we got into the Syd Flounge even though the Jetstar checkin did not open till 12:30ish. Very quick thru Immigration as well. Have read another thread regarding obtaining a bp before Jetstar checkin opens and if I decide to do this run again will try the methods suggested.

Also Jetstar notified me at 08:04 on the day of the flight to say it was cancelled.
